This website is dedicated to the slow accumulation and gradual interpretation of knowledge through the play of research.
The type of Biblical studies which is sometimes called "Higher Criticism" is most often associated with the name of Ferdinand Christian Baur?. D. F. Strauss is also a paragon of historical criticism.
I am interested in the ideas and the research of that small minority of contemporary Biblical scholars who appeal to this tradition for their revisionist historical work and radically skeptical conclusions are represented in the Journal of Higher Criticism, a little read and now defunct attempt to resurrect the critical spirit of Baur.
But I do wish that this JHC would simply archive all of their old issues on-line. Or what, are the authors not zealous to have their articles read? Do they vainly imagine that there is money to be made by disseminating their crazy ideas?
