Rodkinson BT 1903Michael L. Rodkinson, The Babylonian Talmud, 2nd edition (Boston: Boston New Talmud Publishing Company, 1903).
Rodkinson's translation of the Talmud contains only about one third of the literature within the Babylonian Talmud. There were two printings of this translation. The first was in 1903; and the second was in 1918. This explains the descrepency in the dating of this translation on the link. Book One was scanned from the earlier 1903 printing, while books two through ten were scanned from the later 1918 printing. Sacred-texts.com claims that Rodkinson's translation is the largest collection of English translated literature from the Talmud that exists in the public domain. I have found no evidence of a larger collection that would disprove this claim. However, there are printed copies of the English translation of the complete Babylonian Talmud available for purchase.
This translation of the Talmud also contains an extensive introduction to the Talmud and its history. These can be found in book ten (which actually contains volumes one and two) of Rodkinson's work. This introduction covers a myriad of topics ranging from the origin of the Talmud to Rodkinson's method of translation for this edition.
