This is the first volume of the classic English translation of the so-called Ante-Nicene Fathers (ANF), containing the
Apostolic Fathers? as well as
Justin Martyr and Irenaeus, with (very outdated) footnotes and introductions. It remains an relatively useful one-volume resource providing readily accessible translations of
Justin Martyr and Irenaeus, but is not to be relied upon for the
Apostolic Fathers.

- One of the best on-line versions available is at the Christian Classics Ethereal Library (aka CCEL) which, however (mistakenly?) identifies the author of the ANF Vol. I as Philip Schaff. However, if you are looking for a format you can read in a single browser window without having to click through pages, or if you are looking for a format you can print into a file, the following link may be best: http://www.ccel.org/fathers2/ANF-01/anf01.htm, although you will want to use the link on the page to find the table of contents (TOC).
