Halakhah

The sacred Jewish text of the Talmud has two parts, one of which being the Halakhah. The Halakhah is made up of Jewish law. It includes religious as well as civil law. The Halakhah is the written, oral and sayings of the scribes dealing with religious legal customs. (see Jacobs CCJR 1999, "Halakhah").
