Blasi FRECJ 1987Anthony J. Blasi. "Review: Forgetting the Root: The Emergence of Christianity from Judaism." by Terrance Callan Review of Religion Research. 29:1 (1987) 78.
In this book author Terrance Callan argues that Christianity was a sect within Judaism during its early days. He says it was the fact that Gentiles were not required to observe the Jewish law that made for a more complete separation. Blasi states that this book has many flaws, one being that it is insensitive to the Jewish tradition being the root for Christianity. Blasi also says that Callan's book gives a direct answer to the reason for separation and therefore does not allow the reader to research the cause for themself.
