4 Baruch Paraleipomena Jeremiou

Four Baruch or 4 Baruch, also known as the Paraleipomena Jeremiou, — in English "The Matters Omitted from Jeremiah the Prophet" (as the Editor tranlates the title) — is a second-century Jewish text, originally written in Greek.

The work has recuntly become much more available to students through a new edition of the text, with English translation, introduction and commentary by Jens Hertzer (Hertzer 4BPJ 2005).

Like much of the so-called Pseudepigrapha?, to which nebulous group this text belongs, the Jewish book we call 4 Baruch was preserved by Christian scribes in later centuries, and contains Christian interpolations.
